Volunteer on the Trails!

Join Simon’s Rock students and Greenagers this Saturday, September 29th, for a day of work on local trails. This is part of Rock the Community, an opportunity for Simon’s Rock students to give back to the community.  We’ll be working on trails for four local organizations: River Walk, Lake Mansfield (GBLC), Sheffield Land Trust, and the Appalachian Mountain Club. The day will be broken into two sessions: River Walk and Lake Mansfield from 9-12 and Sheffield Land Trust and AMC from 1-4.

RSVP to Greenagers if you wish to join in the fun and good work. 644-9090 / [email protected].

Volunteer on the River Walk

Join Greenagers and the Environmental Law Coalition (Western New England School of Law) for work on the River Walk. Projects to include coir log installation and erosion control – a very important day of work to be done! Saturday, November 3rd, from 9:30 to 3:30. Meet at the Dubois River Garden at the intersection of River and Church Streets in Great Barrington.

All community members and visitors are welcome!

Volunteer Days: New Schedule

Greenagers will be hosting regular volunteer days on trails, farms, and conservation lands on the third Saturday of every month. We will post specific details about each day on the website as the day approaches. All Volunteer Days are open to all community members (and visitors) and will be hosted by Mike Leavitt, our much-loved Americorps member. Volunteer Days are a great way to simultaneously serve and enjoy the community in which we live, work, and recreate.
We will also host additional volunteer day in-between the regularly scheduled ones and will announce these on the website and via email as well.

Community Market

The Berkshire Community Market is now closed for the season. Please look for updates at the BCM website and the BCM Facebook page (as well as the Greenagers website, of course). Greenagers will hire three youth to work at the market this season. Applications will be available April 12th. Please contact us if you are interested in applying. Continue reading “Community Market”
