Field Trip to April Hill Conservation Center
Customizable 90-minute program with extra time available to explore our trails.
Come spend a morning with our Education Department at April Hill, Greenagers’ home base. Students can learn about our gardens and farming with our Farm Crew, forests and conservation with our Trails Crew, or build a hands-on project with our Pathways to the Trades Crew. We will also do some weather observations and documentation and complete a nature-based art project. Projects are determined by the seasons, but you should plan on being outside in all weather conditions, play clothes and sneakers are recommended. We love to get our hands (and sometimes our clothes) dirty at Greenagers!
In-School Programming
1-3 sessions that come to your classroom
The education department will collaborate with either the classroom teacher or grade level team to provide an enriching, topic-based classroom experience which meets or exceeds Massachusetts DOE Frameworks at the grade level that is being requested. All programs will have an educational component, a demonstration component, and a project-based or experiential component (based on the needs of the teacher). An optional field trip may be added to these classes to create a richer learning experience.
