Farm Crew

Summer Farm Crew Session 1: June 24th-July 18th, Monday – Thursday 8am-4pm

Summer Farm Crew Session 2: July 29th-August 22nd, Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm

At April Hill Farm our focus is on hand-scale, low-till agricultural systems and youth experience. The Summer Farm Crew consists of high school aged youth who cultivate a diversity of vegetables, flowers and herbs. Daily tasks vary throughout the season, but include seeding, weeding, transplanting and harvesting crops. The Summer Farm Crews gain skills by participating in all aspects of our small farm.

No experience is required, but a willingness to learn, to try new things and collaborate with others is necessary. This job requires the patience to work outdoors in a wide variety of weather conditions and can be physically demanding. All our farm crews should be willing to participate in conversations around equity, access and inclusion within farming, food access and the broader community.

Crew members should have transportation to/from April Hill: 62 Undermountain Road, South Egremont, MA 01258

Summer Farm Crew hours are Monday–Thursday 8am-4pm.  Pay is $16/hr. All farm crew members receive a weekly box of produce throughout their session.

The 2024 Summer Farm Crew is full.  Join our email list to stay in the loop
