Walk on the Wild Side: Reading the Forested Landscape of Bow Wow Woods with Tom Wessel

Author and ecologist Tom Wessels will lead a walk interpreting the forest history of Bow Wow Woods. Wessels is professor emeritus at Antioch University, where he founded the master’s degree program in conservation biology, He is the author of six books, including Reading the Forested Landscape: A Natural History of New England. Bow Wow Woods was recently acquired by Greenagers and will soon be protected by a conservation restriction to be held by the Egremont and Sheffield Land Trusts.

The walk will start at Bow Wow Rd., just off Route 41. Please park at Greenagers’ headquarter – 62 Undermountain Rd. There will be cider and seasonal refreshments and we’ll be running a van shuttle to the walk site. RSVPs requested by not required: [email protected] or 413-644-9090.
